CSP and the REAL COMBAT SYSTEM - Grading Syllabus

As Geoff Thompson's longest serving instructor and 5th Dan Senior Instructor with the British Combat Association, all of our Martial Arts based classes will be teaching Geoff's Real Combat System

Fellow instructors Matty Evans and Tony Somers are also 5th Dan instructors with the BCA and are also available for Real Combat System instruction - I highly recommend their training.

Fortunately for CSP, we also have Mick Tully who brings his vast wealth of experience to the mix and the result is a massively comprehensive syllabus of instruction under the CSP banner.

The arts you will learn include Western Boxing, Muay Thai, Karate (striking and kicking), Greco-Roman and Freestyle Wrestling, Kali, JKD, Sambo Russian Wrestling, to name but a few.

With over 50 years combined experience, we feel CSP is well placed to deliver exceptional martial arts tuition and guidance, and first class self protection instruction.

INSTRUCTOR GRADE

Instructor Grades require a separate grading and cannot be applied for until 1st Dan has been achieved.

AFFILIATE Instructor
This first level on the Instructor ladder is aimed at those who run their own clubs and classes and already teach their own syllabus and system and who would like to for an association with CSP, linking the material we teach and the approach we have to self protection

The following grades are directly applicable to students of CSP-Real Combat System who train regularly within a CSP class and wish to teach the full CSP syllabus in their own clubs

The level of Instructor will govern what grades each instructor can grade their students up to.
The time taken for a student to attain each instructor level will be a completely individual process.

All gradings take the form of continual assessment rather than performing to a panel of judges at a single grading event.

Grades will be awarded based on level of ability and experience, although an absolute minimum time of 3 months continuous training between each grade KYU must be completed.

All Dan grades will be approved by Geoff Thompson who is the Chief Instructor of the Real Combat System, and Peter Consterdine, who are joint chief instructors of the British Combat Association.
