A message to the Sunday Class

With the first class, of hopefully many, under out belts, I’d like to say a brief thank you to all those who made their way to Coventry this morning to support my new Sunday morning class.

Unfortunately, my partner in crime, Mick Tully was away on his travels this week so it was left to me to take the class. However he’s back next week, so brace yourself guys.

It was great to see some familiar and some new faces and, particularly warming to know that some of you had travelled quite a way to get to the class. It’s very flattering and I hope you weren’t disappointed.

Mick and I deliberately chose a Sunday Morning to run the class, because just getting there is the first lesson in itself.
I completely understand that having to train on a Sunday morning means your whole weekend is governed by the class, and if you’re life is anything like mine, weekends can be precious things.
So, the mere fact that you all made it, to a strange environment, with an even stranger instructor (I thought I’d get that in before anyone else did), is a credit to you all. It’s these challenges and uncomfortable, difficult things that we must all seek if we are to grow as individuals.

It’s the age old adage that the boxer has already achieved all he needs to by simply finding the courage to step through the ropes. That’s often the hardest battle.

So well, done to all of you for embracing this discomfort, making your way to Coventry, and for putting in such enthusiasm during the session.

I look forward to seeing all of you again next Sunday.

Have a great week – and thanks again

AL
